The drilling campaign follows deepwater exploration, core and gas sample analysis, geological evaluation, and reservoir assessment conducted in the area. Based on the results of its follow-up studies, KOSCO I&D confirmed the location and scale of the reserves and moved into the drilling phase to verify production capacity and commercial viability. Although KOSCO I&D’s direct ownership remains unchanged at 27%, the participation of KOSCO Holdings as a separate investor is expected to increase KOSCO’s overall influence in discussions concerning the operation and future development of the block.
